FinalFindings
Closed alpha · 7 cases playableAn educational game about forensic-pathology reasoning. Work the case, read what the body is telling you, and commit to a manner, cause, and mechanism of death.
Built in Unity by Clear Margin Studios.
The case
You get a body and a history. Nothing else.
Every case runs the way a real examination runs — outside in, working from what you can see toward what only a test can tell you. Findings are written the way findings are actually written, so the reasoning you practise is the reasoning that matters.
External exam
Survey the body region by region. Note what's there — and register what isn't.
Internal exam
Open the cavities and work system by system. Organs are described, not diagnosed.
Ancillary tests
Toxicology, histology, serology. They cost you something, so choose with a hypothesis in mind.
The determination
Manner, cause, and mechanism. Three separate calls — and getting one right doesn't hand you the others.
Two ways to play
One for the challenge. One for the teaching.
The same case, told two different ways. Pick the one that matches why you opened the app — you can replay any case in the other mode afterwards.
Raw findings. Scored.
Findings arrive as observations, not conclusions. A misleading one is planted in every case, and it's coherent enough to cost you if you stop thinking.
- Up to three stars — one each for manner, cause, and mechanism
- All three stars require a complete survey and every major finding documented
- Limited actions, so wasted steps show up in your efficiency grade
- Best-run scores tracked per case
Interpreted findings. Unscored.
Every finding is explained as it appears, with a teaching note on why it points where it points. No clock, no star, no penalty for looking.
- Unlimited actions — examine everything
- Teaching notes attached to the findings that matter
- Full reasoning walk-through at the end of the case
- Nothing is scored, so nothing is riding on a guess

Seven cases are built and playable. The iPhone and iPad build is live on TestFlight, and Android builds are going out now. We're looking for a small group of testers — pathologists, pathologists' assistants, residents, students in PathA, medical, and mortuary-science programs, forensic-science educators, and people who just like a hard puzzle.
On an iPhone or iPad? Install it now.
Opens Apple's TestFlight app — free, and no signup with us required. If you don't have TestFlight yet, the link prompts you to install it first. Needs iOS or iPadOS 16 or later. This round is capped at 25 testers; if it's full, leave your email below and we'll open a place.
Get it on TestFlightOn Android, or if the TestFlight round is full, or want to be told when new cases land? Leave an email and we'll send build access and a short list of what we're trying to learn.
We use your address to send alpha builds and to ask what you thought. Nothing else — no list, no sharing, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. See the privacy policy.
What you'd be testing
Whether the findings read the way findings should, whether the decoys are fair, and whether Educational mode actually teaches anything. If you gross and dictate for a living, your read on the wording is the single most useful thing we can get.
What it costs you
Nothing. A case runs about fifteen to twenty-five minutes, and one honest case is more useful to us than ten polite ones.
On Android
We send you an APK to sideload, or add you to a Play closed test. Works on phones and tablets; the game is portrait-only.
On iPhone or iPad
Live on TestFlight now, capped at 25 testers for this round. Install Apple's free TestFlight app, open our link, and the build is yours — no invitation from us needed, and new builds arrive automatically. Needs iOS or iPadOS 16 or later. Each build is testable for 90 days.

What this is, and what it isn't
Final Findings is an educational game about forensic-pathology reasoning. It is not a diagnostic aid, a clinical decision-support tool, a clinical reference, or a certification or board-preparation product, and it does not certify or qualify anyone for anything.
Every case is a fictional composite written to illustrate general pathologic principles. No case depicts a real person, living or dead, and the app contains no patient or decedent records.
The game depicts autopsy and post-mortem examination in clinical detail, including graphic medical description. It is intended for adult learners and is rated accordingly.
